A four-vehicle crash Monday morning temporarily closed outbound Versailles Road near Red Mile Road.
Three of the vehicles were heavily damaged in the wreck at Cisco Road, but there were no serious injuries, Lexington police Sgt. Billy Richmond said. One person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
When police got the call, they expected serious injuries, Richmond said. "As it turns out, we've just got some minor injuries."
Two cars were making "opposing left turns," when one woman lost control of her car and sideswiped the other vehicle.
"She bounced off and hit a couple of other vehicles," Richmond said.
Tow trucks cleared the road, and lanes were reopened shortly after 9 a.m., according to the Traffic Management Center.
Speed probably wasn't a factor, Richmond said.
