Police search for 2 Lexington men wanted in guitar thefts

Arrests warrants have been issued for two men accused of stealing multiple guitars from music stores, according to Lexington police.

Police were working to identify a third man believed to be involved.

Jeremiah Hager, 37, and Jerason L. Banks, 35, both of Lexington, allegedly worked together to steal nine guitars from four music stores between June 7 and June 21 and pawn them, police said. Hager was seen entering three stores, including Willis Music on Tiverton Way and Willcutt Guitars on Rosemont Garden, and taking the electric guitars.

Six of the stolen guitars have been recovered.

Hager was charged with multiple counts of felony shoplifting and receiving stolen property. Banks is charged with one count of receiving stolen property.

Police urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hager or Banks to call police at (859) 258-3600.
