Convicted robber serving long sentence escapes Blackburn

Kentucky State Police and Lexington police are searching for a man who walked away from Blackburn Correctional Complex on Monday morning.

Clyde Rader, 45, has multiple convictions in Fayette and Madison counties on charges including second-degree robbery and burglary, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections. He was serving a 64-year sentence and would have been eligible for parole in December 2019.

Rader is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds, according to the department of corrections.
