Arrest made in Dallas in shooting death of dentist trained at University of Kentucky

An arrest has been in the shooting death of University of Kentucky dental school graduate Kendra Hatcher in Texas.

Dallas police arrested Crystal Cortes, 23, on Friday and charged her with capital murder, according to a release by the Dallas Police Department.

Hatcher, 35, a pediatric dentist who got her degree from UK in 2010, was shot and killed Wednesday in a parking garage at her luxury high-rise apartment complex, according to news reports.

Cortes is being held on a $250,000 bond, according to police.

Hatcher's family has said she will be buried in Springfield, Ill., her hometown.
