Bryan Station magnet school not ready for orientation

Bryan Station Traditional Magnet Middle School has canceled its orientation for incoming sixth-graders that was scheduled for Friday.

Instead, new sixth-graders and their parents will be able to visit the school on Monday to pick up information packets and student schedules, according to Fayette County Public Schools.

Friday's event was canceled because the Bryan Station building still isn't ready for large numbers of people, officials said. Bryan Station is in the middle of a renovation project, but will be ready for the opening of classes on Wednesday, according to the school district.

Parents and students can visit Bryan Station between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday to pick up information at the administration office. Staff members will be available to answer questions.
