The University of Kentucky's Board of Trustees and its presidential search committee will hold a forum in Lexington on Monday evening to solicit feedback and spark discussion about the characteristics, qualifications and priorities the university's next president should embody.
The gathering at 5 p.m. in the Lexington Public Library on Main Street is one of several such forums to be held across the state.
Mayor Jim Gray is co-hosting the event with Terry Mobley, a member of the UK Board of Trustees and vice chairman of the presidential search committee. UK trustee Jo Hern Curris will be the moderator.
Also attending the forum will be Britt Brockman, chairman of the UK board; Everett McCorvey, faculty representative on the board of trustees; Hollie Swanson, a faculty representative on the presidential search committee; and Marian Simms, a former UK trustee and a Lexington resident.
