Morehead extends president's contract

Morehead State University's board of regents on Thursday extended the contract of President Wayne D. Andrews to 2015. Andrews, who became Morehead's president in January 2005, will also receive a two percent pay increase.

"I am deeply gratified by the board's action," Andrews said. "I am very proud to lead this institution.

Morehead employees also will received a two percent raise under the budget, which includes a five percent tuition increase for students.

Regents said they would explore a bonus for Andrews that would be funded by private sources.
