Bath County teacher accused of sexual contact with student

A teacher has been accused of having sexual contact with a student at Bath County High School, according to state police.

A grand jury indicted Arlen McNabb, 45, of Salt Lick on a charge of first-degree sexual abuse involving a 17-year-old female student, state police at Morehead said in a news release.

The incident allegedly took place at the school on Oct. 18. Following a report to state police in November and an investigation by Detective David Zimmerman, the grand jury charged McNabb on Jan. 5, according to a release issued Monday.

Information on McNabb's status with the school system was not immediately available.
