F. Lynn Moore will lead Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College as president, the school system announced Thursday.
The college's Board of Directors chose Moore unanimously out of three candidates.
"Dr. Moore is the best candidate for the job," board Chair Reecie Stagnolia said. "She has a lot to offer this area, and the Southeast board, foundation, faculty and students all gave her high marks."
Moore, vice president for student development and vice president for administrative services at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., has a doctorate in philosophy in educational administration, according to college press release. She also has a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in business management.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Michael B. McCall announced Moore's appointment.
"Dr. Moore brings a range of skills and experience to the position," said Michael B. McCall, Kentucky Community and Technical College System president.
Moore will start June 8 after the retirement of president Bruce Ayers.
"I am incredibly honored and proud to have been chosen to serve as the next president," Moore said.
