Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity at the University of Kentucky will hold its third annual Campus Polar Plunge for Special Olympics on Thursday evening.
Registration for the event will begin at 6 p.m. Opening ceremonies are set for 7:15 p.m., and participants will start hitting the water at 7:30 p.m.
The event will be held at the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity house at 439 Huguelet Drive on the UK campus.
This is the first year that the Polar Plunge will be held at night.

As in previous events, participation will be open to UK students, faculty and staffers. They pay or raise a minimum of $30, and then take a plunge into a pool that will be set up at the Phi Sigma Kappa house.
A valid University of Kentucky ID is required for entry.
All money raised at the Polar Plunge will go to support Special Olympics programs in Central Kentucky and throughout the state.
