Visitation will be Thursday, funeral Friday for Jessamine County paramedic John Mackey

Visitation and funeral arrangements for Jessamine County paramedic John Mackey were made public on Tuesday.

Vistation will be noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Harvest Church on U.S. 27 south of Brannon Crossing shopping center.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the church with Associate Chaplin Andy Carter officiating.

Mackey, 40, died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington after he was struck by a car Thursday night in downtown Nicholasville. He worked with the Jessamine County Emergency Medical Services for 16 years.

Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville is in charge of arrangements.
