Two candidates for lieutenant governor to square off in televised debate Wednesday night

Two candidates for lieutenant governor, Republican Jenean Hampton and Democrat Sannie Overly, will debate at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Midway University.

The event, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Kentucky, will air live on MeTV Louisville and at 10 p.m. on The CW in Lexington. It will stream live on WKYT.com and WLKY.com.

WLKY anchor Vicki Dortch and WKYT anchor and political editor Bill Bryant will moderate the hour-long debate.

Independent candidate Heather Curtis did not meet criteria to participate in the debate.
