Beshear's communications director leaves to take similar role in campaign

FRANKFORT — Gov. Steve Beshear's director of communications and policy, Katie Dailinger, is leaving the administration to become communications director of Beshear's re-election campaign.

Kerri Richardson, who has been spokeswoman and deputy communications director for the Beshear administration, will take on the role of communications director.

"Katie has been an invaluable member of my team since Day One, and I am grateful for her many contributions," Beshear said in a statement. "I am certain she'll take on this new challenge with the same energy and enthusiasm she has brought to state government.

"I have great confidence that Kerri will do an excellent job as she steps into this new role."

Dailinger's last day in the administration was Monday.
