So you don’t really need free stuff and it’s illegal to offer anything free just to voters anyway.
But if the offer is good for all, then it is generally considered fine.
Which is great because in Lexington, HopCat on Short Street is jump-starting the election watch party with free orders of Crack Fries to all guests beginning at 11 a.m. And in the evening they will turn the sound up to watch voting results roll in.
Not a freebie but still cool: Pivot Brewing also is hosting an election watch party with live-blogging by the University of Kentucky Election Law Society, beginning at 6 p.m. They have cider and maybe a food truck or two.
