Polehinke breathing on own now

James Polehinke, first officer on Comair Flight 5191, was taken off life support and is breathing on his own, said Jay Blanton, a University of Kentucky spokesman. He is listed in serious condition at UK Hospital. Polehinke was the only survivor of the Aug. 27 crash at Blue Grass Airport that killed 49. Polehinke suffered a collapsed lung and fractures to his face, spine, pelvis, breastbone, ribs, left leg, right foot and right thumb.
