Nunn’s attorney requests written and recorded statements

An attorney for former state Rep. Steve Nunn filed a motion to gain access to records for use in the criminal case against Nunn.

Nunn, 57, is charged with murder and violation of a emergency protective order in the shooting death of his former fiancée, Amanda Ross, 29.

Attorney Warren Scoville filed the motion for discovery Tuesday in Fayette Circuit Court. In the motion, Scoville requests records including written or recorded statements or confessions made by Nunn, photographs of the crime scene, witness statements and seized cell phone records of Nunn and Ross.

Nunn also is the subject of a wrongful-death lawsuit filed by Ross’s mother, Diana Ross.
