New videos show gas blast at Murray State residence hall

New surveillance video obtained by the Murray State News shows the moment Richmond Hall exploded on campus from a gas leak.

One of the videos has gotten more than 30,000 views since it was posted on the campus paper website and Facebook.

The videos show the first floor lobby and east entrance along with an outdoor security camera. All captured the blast and its aftermath from different angles.

The hall was heavily damaged in the June 28 explosion. A residence hall director was injured in the blast.

A wall was blown out of a building at Murray State University.
