Two charged with starting fire in potato chip aisle at Kroger in Somerset

Two people have been arrested on arson charges after a fire Wednesday night at the Kroger Marketplace in Somerset.

Derek Hatfield, 18, and Megan Branham, 25, also are charged with wanton endangerment and criminal mischief, according to WKYT. Branham was charged with unlawful access to a computer.

The fire, in the potato chip aisle, was put out by volunteer firefighters shopping in the store and by Kroger employees. There were no reports of injuries.

The store, at Stonegate Center , was closed until noon Thursday. Store employees had to get rid of damaged merchandise.

Hatfield and Branham were booked into the Pulaski County jail.
