Man dies, three juveniles injured in fiery crash in northern Kentucky

A man died and three juveniles were injured in a fiery crash in Bracken County Thursday afternoon.

State police said the head-on collision occurred at about 4 p.m. near the intersection of Johnsonville Road and Eden Ridge Road.

A Chevrolet Lumina driven by a teenager whose name has not been released collided head on with a Plymouth Voyager driven by Howard R. Reilly, 46, of Augusta. Reilly was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the crash, the Lumina rolled multiple times and caught fire, state police said. Three juveniles in the vehicle were taken by helicopter to local hospitals.

Trooper Charles Loudermilk said Saturday that the juveniles’ conditions are said to be improving.

He said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
