A man accused of one of Lexington’s 28 homicides last year was arrested Sunday in Detroit, according to media reports.

Detroit native Robert McKissic, 30, is accused of killing Anthony B. Carter, 51, on Oct. 26; an arrest warrant was issued Oct. 31. On Saturday, McKissic was arrested on Detroit’s west side, according to WXYZ-TV.

McKissic and Carter were acquainted, and police said McKissic shot and killed Carter outside of a Jeffrey Court apartment complex after an argument.

Police identified McKissic from a cellphone he dropped, according to WXYZ-TV.

Since December, McKissic had been among Detroit’s most wanted criminals, WXYZ-TV reported.

“We believe he still has a gun on him, he’s a cold-blooded killer and he will kill again,” U.S. Marshals Deputy Aaron Garcia said in December, beforehis arrest.
