Two men were found dead after a pickup truck was found crashed upside down in a creek in Breathitt County Thursday morning.

State police said they were called to Quicksand Creek on Ky. 30 East at Airport Road in the Noctor community at 9:48 a.m. Thursday, after someone saw a truck in the water.

Jimmy Clemons, 35, and his uncle, Calvin Clemons, 42, both of Hardshell, were found inside the 2005 Ford truck and pronounced dead at the scene.

State police said the truck was likely in the water for several hours before it was found.

“Impairment is being considered as a possible factor in this crash,” state police said in a release. Neither man appeared to be wearing a seat belt.

State police said they think Jimmy Clemons was driving south on Airport Road when the truck crossed both lanes of Ky. 30 and went over an embankment and into the creek.
