A Madison County man was arrested Thursday on charges of distributing child pornography.
Justin Cox, 35, of Richmond was arrested as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation through Kentucky State Police. The investigation began when the agency’s Electronic Crime Branch discovered that Cox had uploading child pornography online, according to state police.
Equipment used in the alleged crime was seized and was taken to the state police forensic laboratory for examination, police said.
Cox was arrested at his home on seven counts of distributing child pornography, according to jail records. Each charge is punishable by one to five years in prison, according to police.
