Feeling effects of Marshall County shooting, Kentuckians show support for Florida

As news spread Wednesday of a shooting at a Florida high school with “numerous fatalities,” Kentuckians recovering from gun violence that killed two at Marshall County High School last month shared their support.

Marshall County students and school staff were among many who took to social media Wednesday with words of sympathy and encouragement.

“Although much is still unanswered at this point, our thoughts and prayers are with the staff, students and first responders at Stoneman Douglas High School. We are here for you. #marshallstrong,” Marshall County Superintendent Trent Lovett tweeted.

Kentucky politicians and public officials also said their thoughts were with those affected by the shooting in Florida.
