The University of Kentucky co-ed cheerleading team took home the top prize in its division at the national cheerleading finals Sunday.

UK’s win in Division IA of the Universal Cheerleaders Association College Nationals in Orlando, Fla., was its 21st national title. The group edged Central Florida, which finished second, and defending champion Alabama, which placed third. UK’s co-ed cheerleading squad finished third at the same competition in 2015.

Western Kentucky University finished eighth in the co-ed competition and third in the all-girls competition for Division IA.

Meanwhile, Morehead State University’s cheerleading squad took home top prizes for all-girl, coed and stunt team for Division I at the same event on Saturday, Morehead announced Sunday.

Morehead’s win in the all-girl category was the school’s third consecutive title. The co-ed squad finished second in 2015 but took the top spot during this weekend’s competition.

Colin Tipps and Taylor DeSimone of Morehead won the national title for partner stunt team during a Friday night competition. Morehead has won a total of 39 Universal Cheerleaders Association national titles since its program began in 1988.

Eastern Kentucky University finished third in the same co-ed division.
