A woman was rescued on Saturday morning from a car stalled in water on Brumfield Lane in the southeastern part of Jessamine County.
The woman’s male companion had walked through the 2 feet of water, according to Johnny Adams, the county’s emergency management director, but the woman remained with the car because she was not comfortable trying to brave the cold water.
“The road actually goes through the creek,” Adams said Saturday afternoon. “The water level was elevated, and apparently they had gotten off the concrete path and the car had stalled out.”
The woman was treated on-scene and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
