Two women were killed Tuesday night in a three-vehicle crash in Winchester.
Juanetta Mitchell, 35, of Berea and Sarah Helfrich, 62, of Richmond died in the crash at the intersection of Bypass Road and Colby Road, Clark County deputy coroner Tony Fogle said.
The driver of a Cadillac rear-ended a Ford driven by Helfrich that was stopped at a red light at the intersection, Capt. Harvey Craycraft said. The driver of the Cadillac told investigators he was blinded by the headlights of another vehicle and didn’t have time to stop.
After being hit, the Ford pushed another car into the intersection and then spun out, Craycraft said.

A third person in the Ford was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, Craycraft said. The driver of the Cadillac had minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
No charges are expected to be filed, but the case will be reviewed, Craycraft said.
