A driver was killed and a passenger was injured Tuesday when a ca collided with a tractor-trailer in Frankfort, according to police.
About 10 a.m., the car, pulling out from the Eastwood Shopping Center parking lot on U.S. 60, collided with the tractor-trailer, police Maj. Rob Warfel said.
Warfel said the truck driver wasn’t injured, but the car’s driver died at the scene. The car’s female passenger was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Warfel did not know the extent of her injuries.
U.S. 60 near the Eastwood Shopping Center was closed while the wreck was investigated; traffic was redirected through the shopping center’s parking lot. Warfel expected the road to reopen about 2:30 p.m.
