Manchester man dies in crash; gets trapped in car

A Manchester man is dead after being trapped in his crashed car in Clay County.

Around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London was alerted to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 421 in Clay County.

Trooper Josh Wilson found the driver, Michael L. Harris of Manchester, 60, trapped inside a 2004 Ford Taurus.

Equipment was used to free Harris from the car. Harris died at the scene, according to the Clay County coroner’s office.

Harris was not wearing a seat belt.
