A Georgia man who had been riding an ATV in Laurel County crashed and was later found dead by relatives.

Kermit Lloyd Sizemore, 36, of Moultrie, Ga., who had relatives living off Walter Eversole Road, had been out riding a four wheeler Friday night, and he called after 11 p.m. to tell his relatives that he was heading back home. But Sizemore never made it back, and his relatives found him dead near the overturned four-wheeler Saturday afternoon.

He had apparently tried to ride a Yamaha Grizzly 700 ATV up an embankment, but the ATV overturned and he was thrown off, according to a news release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Sizemore was found next to the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene on Rubin Ridge, off Taylor School Road, about eight miles east of London.

The sheriff’s office was called to the scene at 3:35 p.m., according to the news release.
