Crash in Pulaski County kills one, injures three others

A man died Monday and three others were injured in a crash on U.S. 27 in Pulaski County.

The crash occurred about 6 p.m. when wet roads caused the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe to lose control, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. The Tahoe collided with a Chevrolet Cobalt in the oncoming lane.

Jordan G. New, 23, of Stearns was driving the Cobalt, according to the sheriff’s office. He was flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Brooklyn P. Braden, 18, of Whitley City was in the car with New, according to the sheriff’s office. She was treated at a local hospital.

John V. Lyles, 60, was driving with his wife Rebecca I. Lyles, 58, both of Burnside, in the Tahoe, according to the sheriff’s office. Both were treated at a local hospital.
