Tip leads Danville police to arrest robbery suspect

On Wednesday afternoon, Danville police tracked down a suspect in a robbery and found three suspects in other cases.

In a press release posted on the Danville Police Department’s Facebook page, police said they arrested Darryl K. Whitley on North Sixth Street after receiving a tip. Whitley is wanted in connection with an armed robbery at Patrician Place last Thursday.

Police arrived at about 3 p.m. and saw Whitley in the front door of a residence, then apprehended him inside.

Police found Willa D. Ford, Hugh O. Parker and Ebony D. Alarcon and arrested them for charges unrelated to the robbery.

Whitley was arrested on five counts of first-degree robbery, five counts of first-degree unlawful imprisonment and five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. Ford was arrested on charges of failing to appear in Mercer County Court. Parker was arrested on charges of violating an emergency protective order. Alacron had a warrant out in Jessamine County for receiving stolen property and a warrant in Boyle County for parole violation.

Police said all were lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
