Textbooks target of burglaries, EKU police say

On Thursday, Eastern Kentucky University police said they are investigating multiple burglaries that happened within the past week.

At about 1:30 p.m., EKU officials sent out an alert to all of campus about multiple burglaries on the Richmond campus. The alert said an unknown suspect or suspects entered locked offices in separate buildings. Textbooks seem to be the primary target in the burglaries.

EKU police advised the campus community to take note of suspicious activity and report it to the campus police at 622-1111 or with EKU’s LiveSafe app.
