A car found in a gravel lot off exit 125 of Interstate 75 early Friday belongs to a woman who has been missing since Sunday, Kentucky State Police said.
The car belongs to Crystal Warner, 35, but police found no sign of her or her boyfriend Robert Jones, 38, who is also missing, Trooper Bernis Napier said. Both live in Florence.
Police used dogs to search the gravel lot and a nearby 40 acre field in the early morning hours after the car was found, Napier said. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office located the car, a 2012 Volkswagen, at about 2 a.m. after investigators asked for help searching for the couple at exits along I-75.
The car was towed to a state police impound lot to be processed, Napier said.
