A man has been arrested on two murder charges, suspected of killing Northern Kentucky couple, Kentucky State police said.

Craig Pennington, 52, of Springfield was arrested about 7 a.m. Friday morning in a cabin on Texas Mackville Road near Springfield. Pennington is charged with killing Crystal Warner, 35, and her boyfriend, Robert Jones.

Warner, 35 and Jones, 38, both of Florence, went missing Sunday. The couple’s bodies have not been found, but investigators have recovered evidence that they are dead, according to state police.

Trooper Billy Gregory said the search area is broad, but investigators were searching near where the couple’s car was found early Friday off Interstate 75 in Scott County.

Gregory said Pennington rented the cabin on Texas Mackville Road from Jones. Gregory said Warner and Jones went to the cabin to discuss the property with Pennington before they disappeared.

Pennington was taken to the Marion County jail.
