A married couple who were stabbed Sunday in Knox County were flown to University of Kentucky Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and their son has been arrested.
Joseph Gibson, 35, of London has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to Kentucky State Police. He is accused of stabbing his mother and stepfather in the community of Crane Nest near Kentucky 1803 sometime before 1 p.m. Sunday.
Connie Smith, 52, and Randy Smith, 49, both of London, drove to Black Water Road in Laurel County after being stabbed, according to state police.
Gibson is being held at the Knox County jail.
