University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari sent a letter to the sons of Robert Jones, a man who went missing with his girlfriend Crystal Warner earlier this month.

Warner and Jones were reported missing July 3. Craig Pennington, who rented a cabin from Jones, is charged with murder in the couple’s disappearance. The couple’s bodies have not been found.

Jones’ sons received a letter and signed photo from Calipari on Wednesday, according to the boys’ mother, Jaclyn Roberts, who posted it on Facebook.

The letter reads:

“Dear Parker, Ryder & Gunner:

“I want to extend my sympathy to you and your family during this difficult time. try to remember all the good things about Robert and the wonderful memories you have will last forever.

“I know Robert was a loyal fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and we truly appreciated his support. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

God Bless you!”

Roberts said the family met the coach four years ago at a Richmond Orange Leaf, and Jones took Parker to Calipari’s summer basketball camp last year.
