A tractor-trailer driver from Indiana died and another person was injured in a crash south of Elizabethtown on Interstate 65 in Hardin County Tuesday.

Andrew S. Graley, 33, of Pekin, Ind., was driving a 2014 Freightliner semi-tractor north when he hit a northbound Camry that was traveling partially in the right lane and partially on the shoulder, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. The semi hit the car in the rear left side.

The drivers of both vehicles lost control and left the road at mile marker 86, just east of Glendale, at about 1:40 p.m.

Graley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Camry, Bridget M. Yates, 52, of Vine Grove, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, state police said.
