A used-car salesman shot a co-worker after the two argued Thursday in Bell County, according to county Sheriff Bruce Bennett.
The shooting happened at Fuson's Auto Sales on U.S. 25E at Log Mountain and involved Michael L. Willis, 36, and Billy Livesay, 37, both employees, according to Bennett and a news release.
After the two argued, Willis allegedly got a .22-caliber rifle from his truck and shot Livesay in the upper left leg, Bennett said.
Livesay's injury was not life-threatening, the sheriff said.
Police charged Willis, 36, of Fourmile, with first-degree assault and wanton endangerment.
