No one was hurt when an ultralight plane plunged into the Ohio River on Friday, Kentucky State Police said.
The plane, which had been connected to a tobacco festival in Ripley, Ohio, was pulled from the water by the sheriff’s department in Brown County, Ohio. The pilot, who was not identified, was unharmed.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it would not investigate because the plane was unregistered and the pilot was not required to have a license.
Kentucky State Police were investigating, but no charges had been filed Saturday.
