Child knocks vehicle in gear; Mt. Sterling woman crushed to death

A 34-year-old Mount Sterling woman died Saturday afternoon after being pinned beneath her vehicle.

Quenette "Shay" Green and her husband were unloading groceries on Jamie Ridge Drive in the Arlington subdivision about 2:30 p.m. when a child they were baby-sitting knocked the vehicle out of gear, said Rob Kiskaden, a dispatcher for Montgomery County emergency responders.

The couple tried to stop the vehicle from rolling, but it rolled over Green and pinned her beneath it. Green was pronounced dead at the hospital, Kiskaden said.
