Two boys face wanton endangerment and arson charges after a bomb exploded in a Perry County school restroom.
There were no injuries and no property was damaged after the boys apparently detonated a homemade bomb inside a bathroom at Willard Elementary School in the Busy community, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.
The boys allegedly used some easily available household chemicals to create a "flash-bang" explosion in the bathroom, state police Detective Gary Sandlin said.
The boys were being held in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center. A third boy could face charges in the incident, state police said.
