1 dead, 2 charged in shooting at mine

Kentucky State Police say a 27-year-old man has been killed and two other men arrested after a shooting at a strip mine in Eastern Kentucky.

Troopers say John Salisbury of Hueysville died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday after being shot at the mine in the Hippo community of Floyd County.

Troopers arrested 27-year-old Robie Lee Miller of Martin on Sunday morning and charged him with murder. Troopers also arrested 44-year-old Robie Dean Miller of Martin and charged him with tampering with physical evidence and falsely reporting an incident.

Both men were being held Sunday in the Floyd County Detention Center. Bail had not been set and the jail had no attorneys listed for the men.
