HARLAN — The Kentucky Natural Lands Trust has bought 400 acres that will serve as an additional buffer around Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve.
The 3,100-acre preserve contains 2,350 of old growth forest, the largest remaining tract in the state.
The lands trust was formed in 1995 to raise money to protect the forest.
