Woman hurt when train strikes truck

A CSX train collided with a pickup truck in Lee County on Sunday afternoon.

The truck, driven by Elizabeth Back, 25, was struck near the Lee-Breathitt county line east of Beattyville, WLEX (Channel 18) reported.

Back was listed in fair condition Sunday night at University of Kentucky Hospital, a spokeswoman said.

The train with three locomotives and 110 empty coal cars struck the truck about 4:45 p.m. Sunday, CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan said. The train had come from Ravenna in neighboring Estill County, he said.
