Shooting injures adult, 14-year-old

LONDON — Police Saturday were investigating a Laurel County shooting in which two people were wounded with one bullet.

Investigators determined J.R. Brock, 25, of East Bernstadt, fired a gun Friday night inside a house on Ky. 3094 in Laurel County, according to Kentucky State Police. The bullet struck Aubrey Timmons, 44, also of East Bernstadt and went through a wall, hitting a 14-year-old.

Both Timmons and the juvenile, who was not identified, were taken to St. Joseph Hospital-London. A St. Joseph spokeswoman said Timmons had left the hospital against medical advice. No information was available on the juvenile.

Brock was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
