Crask kills Pulaski man, injures 5

A Pulaski County man died Monday when his car crashed into an oncoming vehicle, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.

Several other people were hurt in the wreck.

James O. Mounce, 54, was pronounced dead at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Police said Mounce was driving north on U.S. 2227, about a mile north of Somerset, when his 2003 Mazda crossed into the southbound lane and hit a southbound 2001 Nissan driven by Jordan Gragg, 20, of Science Hill.

Gragg and passengers Anastasia Gragg, 21, and a 4-year-old child police did not identify were taken by helicopter to the University of Kentucky Hospital. Jordan and Anastasia Gragg were both listed in critical condition Monday night. Information on the child's condition was not available.

Police said two other passengers in Gragg's vehicle were treated for injuries. They were Brandon Todd, 24, and a 3-month-old police did not identify.

The wreck happened about 8 a.m.
