Guilty plea in child porn case

An Augusta man pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography Wednesday, U.S. Attorney E.J. Walbourn announced.

According to a news release, Ronald Peed, 32, admitted that between March and May 2009, he downloaded more than 600 images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Peed is scheduled to appear in court on July 23. He faces a minimum of five years and and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
