Woman killed in Frankfort wreck

A Louisville woman was killed in a single car wreck on I-64 outside of Frankfort on Sunday.

Kiara L. Hinkle, 21, was driving four other passengers in a 2004 Mercedes about 9 a.m, westbound on I-64 when she apparently lost control of the car, police said. The vehicle overturned several times. Hinkle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Passenger Jason Turner, 19, of Florence was taken to UK Medical Center, where he was in critical condition Sunday night. The other three passengers, Nikki M. Berry, 19, Natya Stafford, 20, both of Lexington, were treated and released from UK. Aubrey D. Barton, 19, also of Lexington, was taken to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Everyone involved in the incident was wearing a seat-belt. The accident is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post.
