PIKEVILLE — Water service has been restored to all customers of the Mountain Water District, Pike County officials said.
As of Tuesday afternoon, customers in only three areas — Harless Creek, Layne Branch of Kimper and Motley Fork — were asked to continue boiling water before drinking it.
Deadly floods on July 17 caused widespread damage to the 17,000-customer system.
About 25,000 people had been on a boil-water advisory until Tuesday afternoon.
