State police have issued an arrest warrant in a double shooting in Floyd County that sent a man and a woman to the hospital Saturday.
On Monday evening, investigators were searching for Michael Nolan Slone in connection with the shooting. Slone is from the Wayland community in Floyd County and is in his mid-twenties, Trooper Shaun Little said.
Slone is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend at the woman's home on Ky. 850 in the Middle Creek community, according to a news release issued by state police. Police have not identified the victims.
The woman was hit in the leg; she was treated and released at Highlands Regional Hospital. The man was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital in Virgina with wounds to the leg, abdomen and groin, the release said. The hospital reported the man was in stable condition at last check, Little said.
